Measure Around the Fullest Part of Your Chest
Now, regarding your measurements: use the side of the tape marked in inches and measure around the fullest part of your chest. Position the tape as shown—you can see the correct angle here. Notice that if I pull the tape too tight, it won’t move at all; this would result in a T-shirt that’s far too tight, which would mean you’d have to return it. Instead, make sure to leave a gap of about one to two fingers between the tape and your body—this ensures the T-shirt will have a comfortable, slightly loose fit.

As you can see here… So, here is my measurement—it comes to 41. I’ve left a gap of about two fingers; you can leave three or four, depending on how loose you want the T-shirt to be. Just take your measurement accordingly. So, my measurement is 41—that’s what I’ve arrived at. You should take your own measurements in the same way, leaving a gap of about one to two fingers.
